DAY 34

From Braidwood to Goulburn it’s 85 km. The weather is better than forecasted, but still the boys are a bit delayed out of the motel room Monday morning. They have repacked and leaves 3 bags behind. After Anders accident they want as little weight as possible in the front of the bike. The owner of the motel is 3 cyclebags richer and said he would look for cyclists who might need them. Without the heavy bags in front the bikes are much easier to steer and the heavy bike feeling is reduced a lot. They might need to buy a smaller bag they’ll put in front in Sydney. Lasse’s wheel is again close to broken. The spokes were a bit loose so he fastened them, probably a bit too much. They wheel is very far away from rolling straight.

Before they start to cycle Anders takes a new heavy portion of painkillers. It’s a quite good leg, with clouds, decent temperature and not to many hills. Even with a little bit of headwind it was by far the easiest leg the last week.

For a while Lasse joins Anders tempo-leg and they fly away. Lasse takes it a bit more quiet towards Goulburn and Anders as usual has found a caravan park in advance and they roll in a bit after 15:00. Todays leg is over an the normal routines and dinner remains.

While Lasse showers for 50 minutes Anders start speaking with two women who also cycles. One of them is very chatty but nice. Anders have to concentrate and says yes and nods to things he don’t understand. No awkward misunderstandings and the disappear to the camp kitchen after a while.

Today not much happened and a episode of Heartbeat would be more interesting and entertaining.
