INTERVIEW DIVERGENT.NO
DAY 25
From Bonnie Doon to Benalla it was only 65 k’s and they went quick. Anders got 06:15 and Lasse pointed out what time it was in his sleep, while Anders got up. Anders replied “we’ll be leaving 08:00”.
Mostly flat or downhill, Anders and Lasse flied away. After a while Anders disappears in the horizon for Lasse. This leg is easygoing, it’s like a half resting day Anders thinks.
After 44 k’s Anders comes to Swanpool, more or less the only place between Bonnie Doon and Benalla. He decides to wait for Lasse as he thinks here they can eat a late breakfast, since todays breakfast was only a banana. Anders parks his bike and stands and wait outside the cafe. Lasse doesn’t show up. “Hmmm, that was strange how slow it goes today” Anders thinks as the clock is ticking. Anders wonders if Lasse can have passed him without noticing him, but that could not be, Anders have been standing outside the whole time and the cafe is 5 meters away from the front row. After 45 minutes Anders goes back looking for Lasse thinking either is he dead or he got a flat tire and is in a “good” mood.
Anders turns again as it is to far to be behind, even with an accident. Anders have two percent of battery left on his phone and uses them to send a message to Lasse that he must wait in Benalla and follow the gps tracker to localize anders whom soon was out of power. Anders rushes to Benalla at full speed for the last 24 k’s.
5 k’s before the city Anders meet a cyclist that yells “he is looking for you” and points towards Benalla. Anders gives him a thumbs up and understands that Lasse is alive and just hadn’t seen him in Swanpool. In the city Anders scouts for Lasse on both sides, he looks for a Norwegian with blue shirt, red helmet and black tight cycle shorts. Almost finished with the city center and no sights of Lasse, but a tourist must soon show up.
Right before the last roundabout in the city Anders see Lasse 100 meters away. Maybe no coincidence that Anders finds Lasse right in the middle of McDonald’s and KFC. Anders asks “have you eaten?”, “only a quarter pounder” Lasse replies.
They call it the night already at 13:00, in regard to cycling, 65 k’s was enough this day as 90 k’s awaits tomorrow.

“Crazyness, wouldn’t recommend people going on a trip without practicing, be hygienic as wounds that are infected would spoil the trip, take it slow and good luck”
