YOGHURT
Yoghurt
Flying is the best thing in the world, a statement both Anders and Lasse can stand for. But, of course it’s better when you sit together with someone you know, especially when flying long distance.
From London to Singapore Anders sat in 42K, Lasse in 38A – a 12,5 hour long journey. Their only form for communication was eye contact, waves and smiles. That was not that difficult since they guys were the only ones with heads higher than their seats.
“One day, Anders, one day” Lasse says to Anders while they walk down each of their isle through business class. The seats are enormous and the personal flatscreen are larger than the tv average Joe has in the living room. As long as the boys don’t have 10000 dollars to blow on business class tickets, they are placed back row together with the other mortal ones.
Which of these two scenarios that is most awkward and embarrassing, Anders is not sure about.
1. Not saying a single word to the girl you are sitting next to on the airplane for 12,5 hours.
2. Saying sorry as your only word to the girl next to you on a 12,5 hours long airplane trip.
Option number to happened; Anders tried opening a raspberry yoghurt the air hostesses-doll gave him (read; the female part of the cabin crew actually do look like dolls). When it opened the yoghurt splashed in the face, hair and clothes of both Anders AND the girl next to him. The girl doesn’t notice the table spoon sized portion stuck in her tall brown hair. Anders doesn’t dare to inform her about it either. The awkwardness reaches new heights when the girl on flight SQ319, 5 minutes later notices yoghurt leftovers in her hair, takes napkin and drags it through her hair.
Both Anders and the girl pretends nothing ever happened, but still left Anders very embarrassed. Anders thinks that time heals all wounds and soon she will be into whatever movie she is going to watch.
PS! Onboard the flight from Oslo-London together with boys, was CEO of Norways Bank, Øystein Olsen. “Too bad if this plane goes down, he will get all the attention, and we will be gone and forgotten.
The boys are ready for the last lap; Singapore – Oslo
