THANK YOU
DAY 40
The bikes are fixed and picked up after service and they are ready to continuing the journey. 8:30 pm Monday morning they will head off. From Coogee (Sydney) to The Entrance is tomorrows target, approximately 80 km plus to ferries.
After the night out on Saturday night Anders mostly lay in the grass in the park by the beach reading a book the whole Sunday. He reads about the Italian Mob in Napoli. Every murder in the book is so detailed that you can loose faith in humanity by less. Roberto Saviano describes life among the different clans very well and Anders understands that the book has been a bestseller. One murder did Anders so unwell that he had to stop reading for a few minutes just sunbathing.
It is twelve days until Christmas Eve and it would be a good bonus to reach the next target Brisbane by Christmas. They don’t know if they will make it. Without bigger problems they will at least be there by New Years. From Brisbane they are going three hours in car west, to visit their previous host family but more about that later.
Anders and Lasse thanks Courtney and Hannah for their hospitality Sunday Night. The Norwegians shows their appreciation by taking the girls out dining on an Italian restaurant. They eat pasta and risotto, and of course the obligatory insalata caprese as a starter. Few things in life is better than mozzarella and tomatoes.
Tomorrow it is back to water, sportsdrinks, banana, chocolate and canned spaghetti. It’s about time to get into the everyday routine.
PS. Anders has killed three cockroaches the last days.
