Anders and Lasse arrived at the airport in Adelaide, and the border patrol had of course their eyes on the two large boxes, as something they wanted to seizure. Out of the two guys, Anders is the one who knows how the controllers should be handled and immediately takes charge. “Are these bikes brand new?” asks the custom agent both of the guys at the same time. “Yes they are, they are clean and not used before” who understood where the custom agent wanted to go. “No, no” says Lasse at the same time. Anders lectures Lasse in Norwegian “they are brand new and unused”. Lasse turns from white to Christmas red in the blink of an eye. Lasse has a point, he wants to avoid custom fees on the bikes, but Anders is more afraid that the bikes will not be permitted due to dirt on the tires. Therefore it was important to point out that they are new and unused, although we tested them for 5 minutes.

The clock was 9 am, so Anders and Lasse couldn’t quite believe it when another custom agent said “usually you guys would have to pay I customs fee but we do not have time for that today”. More dollars saved.

Anders and Lasse used 3 hours to mount the bikes, a test of their patience, good thing it is over.
