SKYDIVE
DAY 50
Fifty days ago since their journey started in Adelaide in the south. Now they are at the most eastern point of Australia, Byron Bay. They drink beer and orders glasses of rose wine. They sit at second floor at a restaurant in the middle of the city center. All doors and windows are open with 6 fans going in the air. The boys didn’t get a table at the balcony. Many waitresses serving all the people that constantly wants food and drinks. The place doesn’t seem quite right so the Norwegians decides to not eat here, only drink.
Lasse went skydiving today, it all went well. He is alive and all bones in his body are as they should. “Sitting on the edge of an plane with your legs hanging outside feels surreal” Lasse can inform. Lasse didn’t pay attention when they called his name, but after a little while he figured it was his groups turn. The instructor filmed with the camera stuck to his wrist and asks Lasse how he feels before boarding the plane. Lasse thinks that over hyping stuff is to hipster and awkward so he keeps calm in front of the camera. The instructor points out that Lasse seems to be “very calm” before the jump. Lasse takes that as a compliment and prepares himself mentally. Boarding the plane, take off, sit on the edge, lean outside, cheeks blowing up as ballons, and even the forehead created wrinkles that weren’t there. Lasse is falling down at high speed towards the ground and the “BANG” and the parachute is out. The parachute is connected to a band that goes between Lasses thighs, and it hurts a lot. Lasse wants to scream and struggles to relax. His legs are sour after cycling for two months, but the instructor couldn’t know that so Lasse acts like he isn’t bothered. The view is beautiful, the pain in the legs relieves and they sail towards the ground. Lasse even gets to steer the parachute. He pulls in the right handle and the parachute goes to the right. Lasse wants to pull in both at the same time to increase the speed, but didn’t dare since weren’t instructed to do that. The landing is perfect and Lasse buys a usb with the whole jump.
Anders is laying alone at the beach while Lasse is having fun up in the air. A lady goes towards Anders and asks him “why are you shining?”. Anders wonders if this is a hidden cam or if it is a pick up line. Judging by her clothes it is more likely to be a hidden cam somewhere or someone that escaped from the female prison. Anders sums himself and says it is just normal sunscreen. The lady respons by saying “oooh, I thought it was baby oil on your body”. Anders is now even more unsure if she is hitting on him or it is a hidden cam. The lady disapperas after a few more words and Anders is left a bit shocked. The lady above 40 with curly black hair was probably just someone who spoke her mind and didn’t mean much by it.
